This website is dedicated to helping you find A Family Hotel perfect for your family.  “A Family Hotel” is rather a different beast than the more ubiquitous “family friendly” hotel, which are also great too and serve an important purpose but they are not designed especially for families’ unique needs and a special place where a family can relax together.

AFH hotels come in all shapes and sizes and price points. Choosing a hotel is a deeply personal decision with many factors to consider – facilities, budget, location, weather, transport options, etc etc and one person’s paradise can be another person’s (metaphorical) hell but hey, that’s what makes the world interesting! AFH is here to inspire you and help you find a perfect family hotel for you and your family by sharing our research and providing a curated collection of these AFH hotels, which are all A Family Hotel.

Some of these hotels we’ve personally visited and others are on the bucket list. For those hotels we’ve been to, I’ve included an AFH seal of approval and any insider tips from my mini hotel reviewers – Sasha and Bee.

How to use AFH

AFH is a collection, an idea board, a starting place, an inspiration , a place to get ideas to kick off your research when you’re looking for A Family Hotel. I’m not going to attempt duplicate all that research but rather spend my time discovering hidden gems for you so that you can do your own research and see if it’s your flavor. We’ll plan to keep it short and sweet – like when we share ideas on Insta and Facebook. It’s just a taste to inspire you. Hello! If you’ve found A Family Hotel, you probably already know that I am passionate about travel and hotels – all types! A little more about me – I’m Brandy, a mother of two young girls and an avid traveler. I’ve lived and worked on three continents and been to more than 65 countries, both with and without the kiddos, and I understand how our travel needs evolve and change at different points in our lives having experienced it first hand. I’ve also worked in hotel real estate and development (and international corporate law many years ago) which gives me an unique insight/appreciation and inside perspective into the nuances of hotels and what makes them tick.

Since having children, I’ve spent hours researching hotels for our own family holidays and I want to share some of these amazing hotels with you by consolidating them in one place. It can be difficult to find A Family Hotel and sift through the marketing and PR hype to find the ones that suit you and your family.
