So, you’re booking a holiday! Super exciting!

One of the first things to consider is what type of trip this is and what part accommodation choice is going to play. If you’re off to Paris or NYC and planning to do some jam-packed days of city sightseeing, an AFH hotel might not be the best fit for this trip. Or if you’re going on a road trip and only passing through with a different hotel each night, “family friendly” might be just what you’re looking for.

But, perhaps this is a trip where you just want to spend some quality time together as a family and the hotel is a key part of the equation and an AFH hotel is just what you need!

  • Activities – Horseback riding? Bike riding? Hiking? Communal games? Tractor rides? Campfires? Fishing? There are so many options and the hotels’ own websites will be able be able to provide more information.
  • Dining Options – do you plan on eating all your meals at the hotel or do you want to explore local cuisines? How many restaurants are there? Do they offer room service or poolside dining? Is it all inclusive? Do the restaurants offer special children’s hours?
