Why choose A Family Hotel – and why you shouldn’t

Every holiday, like every family, is different. We all have our own ideas and dreams about the best ways to spend time as a family and what we envision as our perfect holiday.

Sometimes travel is about exploring the destination or trying new things or spending time with multigenerational family. Sometimes the hotel is the main destination in itself and we look for that perfect place to spend time together as a family.

House rentals/Airbnbs/VRBOs are fantastic options and might be the right one for this particular trip. They can offer more room to spread out, multiple bedrooms, a full kitchen, washer/dryer and can be a great base. But rentals also can come with some downsides – cooking, cleaning, household maintenance – just in a different place than home.

Family friendly hotels can also be a great option, especially if you’re spending lots of time outside the hotel on other activities and primarily just need a base to sleep.

But sometimes you want the hotel to be an integral part of the experience and a place where you can really come together as a family and stay in someplace specifically welcoming families and their unique needs. Where the hotel understands the need to warm bottles in the middle of night, diaper change pails or training potties, and offers the opportunity for kids to explore without worrying about ruining someone’s honeymoon!

AFH Hotels offer that unique proposition of welcoming you and your family and inviting you to truly enjoy the hotel together.

At AFH hotels, families are not an afterthought or a token gesture – AFH hotels are a step beyond “family friendly.”  At AFH hotel, families are front and centre and truly welcome.

So when you’re looking for that perfect AFH hotel, you’ve come to the right place to start exploring. And sometimes your trip needs a different hotel and that’s ok too. Do what works best for your family, your trip, you holiday – because everyone is different!

Ps – if we’ve missed any of your favorite AFH hotels, please let us know!
